Seven weeks since they were born, I am now painting the corgi puppies. One went to a new home last Saturday. I was a bit resistant to painting the puppies at first. I was worried that the paintings could easily become "too cute." But now that they are leaving, I am painting them.
This painting and the next few are painted on a wood panel rather than on stretched canvas. The quarter inch mahogany plywood comes from a wooden boat builder. It has a great smooth surface that captures all the brush strokes. What's great about it for you is that they are much easier to frame.
