2. OK Cow Painting

Day one got off to a great start. Blog up and emails sent all in a timely fashion. Website updated. Now only ninety eight left to go.
Today I have gone from the dogs to the cows. I photographed this one while driving through Oklahoma on our trip to California in April. The cows were standing in the field with about 2 inches of snow and the early morning sun shining on it all. We had just driven down the steepest hill we encountered during the entire trip. Sort of like a roller coaster rather than a road. Thankfully, it was a short hill. And yes, it was in Oklahoma. At the bottom of the hill, the morning sun was shining through the trees onto the dry grass poking up through the snow and creating a beautiful backlight on this herd of cows.
